Officers make two drug arrests on same night

New Jersey residents who have ever been arrested or know people who have been arrested understand how challenging these situations can be. One of the things that can be hard is how reports can give the appearance of guilt even though defendants are supposed to be presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Making the news recently are the arrests of two different men in different locations in Trenton. Both apparently had outstanding warrants for their arrests related to drug crimes. One of the men is 21 years old and has been charged with distribution and possession of pot. His charges are felonies but no other details were given such as the quantity of drug allegedly found or what the circumstances surrounding the arrest may have been.

Another man who is 31 years old was reportedly apprehended at his home while he was attempting to get rid of or hide some drugs. No details were given as to why this was the case. In addition to drug charges, he is accused of attempting to tamper with criminal evidence. The defendant also is alleged to have had a gun at his home which he was not allowed to have. This has led him to be charged with a weapons crime as well as drug crimes. Multiple law enforcement groups worked together on these arrests.

The spotty details given in the news makes it hard to fully understand the situations faced by either defendant. People who are arrested may choose to contact an attorney for help with their defense processes.
