The doctor is accused of selling prescriptions to as many as 100 people on a regular basis, according to official reports. Authorities said the man may have netted as much as $10 million in connection with the alleged distribution efforts.

Man charged with DWI says he is sick, needs help

A 55-year-old man who crashed his vehicle into a Dunkin' Donuts in Jersey City in August was formally charged with drunk driving earlier this week. The man, who requires an interpreter to communicate with court officials, admitted that he was suffering from an out-of-control addiction, telling authorities that he was very sick.

A woman and her mother are accused of felonies resulting in the theft of approximately $565,000 from two New Jersey school districts. Authorities claim that they falsely authorized payments from district funds to bus companies which did not exist. The 39-year-old woman worked as a supervisor and transportation manager for the Hazlet and Piscataway school districts.

A man is facing trial for an Ocean County boating accident in which an occupant in one of the two boats involved was killed. He denies the accusation and is mounting a strong criminal defense. The incident occurred over four years ago on Aug. 3, 2008.

Two New Jersey men arrested for alleged unlawful gun possession

Two New Jersey men face weapons charges after police allegedly seized two rifles and a shotgun from the trunk of one of their vehicles. The two men, 44 and 26, were allegedly observed by police looking at guns in the trunk of a car earlier in the month. Both defendants denied the charges but remain in police custody, unable to make bail.
