Man with long criminal record faces new drug charges

A New Jersey man with multiple criminal convictions on his record was taken into custody on Sept. 22 for allegedly distributing buprenorphine and oxycodone. The 47-year-old Jersey City man was accused of possessing 46 buprenorphine pills, two oxycodone pills, one bag of heroin and various drug paraphernalia items. He was accused of distributing the oxycodone and buprenorphine at a public housing complex in Hoboken.

Owner of tattoo shop accused of selling synthetic marijuana

On Sept. 12, authorities announced that the owner of a New Jersey tattoo parlor had been charged for allegedly selling synthetic marijuana. The 41-year-old owner of a shop in Wildwood was charged for third-degree drug possession and second-degree distribution of synthetic marijuana as well as second-degree distribution of synthetic marijuana within 500 feet of a public area.

New Jersey man accused of murder in attempted robbery

Authorities took a 23-year-old New Jersey man into custody on Sept. 10 after he allegedly shot and killed a 32-year-old man in an attempted robbery. The incident occurred on Sept. 5 in East Orange in front of the deceased man's residence.

Police charge New Jersey man with intent to distribute

In early September, a 40-year-old man was detained by New Jersey State Police. According to law enforcement officials, the encounter took place at the man's home on Union City's Paterson Plank Road; police claim that upon taking him into custody, they also discovered and seized a number of different drugs whose worth surpassed more than $100,000. The drugs allegedly seized included heroin, ecstasy, marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, Xanax, OxyContin and LSD; it should be noted that a majority of the substances listed had not actually been confirmed at the time of reporting.

Man accused of robbing New Jersey bank taken into custody

A 35-year-old man was taken into custody in connection to an alleged bank robbery on Aug. 30 in Jackson. Reports say a male wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt entered a bank around 12 p.m. and allegedly handed a note to a teller asking for money. After the teller delivered an undisclosed sum of money to the man, he reportedly left the bank and headed towards Brewers Ridge Road.
