Is Ocean County giving fugitives a free pass?

It is generally true that you cannot outrun the police. If you abscond from a location where you are facing a criminal charge, the warrant will most likely follow you wherever you may go. Therefore, if you get pulled over for a traffic violation a few years after running from criminal charges, and are now several states away, you may find yourself being arrested and held on the outstanding warrant.

Revenge may be sweet, unless it is a crime

Some say revenge is sweet. And that may apply when the revenge is against a former spouse or lover when the relationship ends. But in New Jersey, that revenge can result in criminal charges when it involves posting "revenge porn," or compromising photos, online without the consent of the person in the pictures.

Rarely used New Jersey statute being invoked more in drug cases

Due to the increase in deaths caused by heroin overdoses, New Jersey authorities are going after drug dealers for not only distributing drugs but also for contributing to the overdose-related deaths of drug users. If the drugs they may have sold can be proved to have been involved in an overdose, a person can end up facing harsh charges such as manslaughter, in addition other drug charges.
