Multiple DUI/DWI Charges? We'll Work With You

Any DUI/DWI offense is serious. However, the consequences become even more severe when you have one or more prior DUI/DWI convictions on your record. At the Law Offices of Michael T. Nolan, Jr., in Brick, New Jersey, I provide aggressive defense to drivers charged with repeat DUI/DWI offenses. As a former prosecutor, I know how these cases unfold and I know how to challenge the prosecution's evidence. I can often find mistakes the prosecutor makes during the process, as I work diligently to build an effective, unified defense against repeat DWI charges.

If you are facing repeat DUI/DWI charges in Ocean County, Monmouth County or throughout the Jersey Shore, contact me online today to schedule a consultation with an experienced and assertive drunk driving defense lawyer or call toll free at 888-415-7141.

Facing A Second- Or Third-Offense DUI Arrest? Hire A Lawyer Who Can Really Help.

As an experienced DUI defense attorney and former prosecutor, I have comprehensive knowledge of New Jersey drunk driving laws and recognize the seriousness of a repeat DUI/DWI arrest. That is why I work tirelessly to represent the interests of clients who are in jeopardy of facing such harsh penalties.

  • Second-offense DUI/DWI: A second drunk driving conviction within 10 years of a first-offense conviction carries a two-year loss of driving privileges, an annual surcharge of $1,000 per year for three years, 30 days of community service, a minimum two-day jail sentence to 90-day jail sentence, as well as other penal consequences.
  • Third-offense DUI/DWI: A third offense carries a 10-year loss of driving privileges, a mandatory six months in jail and an annual surcharge of $1,500 per year for three years, among other penalties.

In addition, a repeat DUI/DWI conviction can result in up to $1,000 fine, additional fees and assessments totaling more than $500, as well as community service. All DUI/DWI penalties are doubled if the offense occurred in a school zone (within 1,000 feet of a school).

Following restoration of your driving privileges after a repeat DUI/DWI conviction, you will be required to install an ignition interlock device (IID). Operating a vehicle not equipped with an IID during this period can result in an additional criminal charge. Additionally, if you operate your vehicle while still under suspension for drunk driving, you will face enhanced penalties for driving while on the suspended or revoked list, including but not limited to mandatory jail time.

Avoid Or Minimize Harsh Penalties For Repeat DWI / DUI

As a seasoned defense lawyer, I will use my skills to fight charges, challenge Alcotest and field sobriety test evidence, and do everything possible to get the charges reduced or dropped. I have a vast network of experts that I use to challenge the evidence brought by the prosecution.
